How products are considered

The process for any product seeking listing on ecospecifier since October 2004 is:

• Completion of a life cycle based ecospecifier questionnaire
  
• Assessment by the ecospecifier team as to whether the product complies with the ‘best practice towards sustainability’ criteria
• Listing on ecospecifier.ae after verification and factual error checking by the relevant supplier/manufacturer/service provider.

As noted under The Business Model

and standards & recognition types, ecospecifier does not charge for a 'Basic' listing on the site. Basic listings continue to be listed based on information sourced by ecospecifier. ecospecifier charges manufacturers a flat-fee per product Enhanced Content [ECG] listing to allow detailed research to be undertaken into the product, presented on the site and allow more content in the public domain:

The depth of the listing is recognised in the name of the product in the Product Search Results page by the display of [BLP], [EC] or [ECG] after the product name. If there is no such extension, then it is a Basic listing.
